SteelSeries has just launched the newest version of its game engine. The SteelSeries Engine 2, or SSE2, is designed to help players improve their gameplay by unlocking features that weren’t previously available. The goal of SteelSeries Engine 2 is to provide an even better experience for gamers to use SteelSeries products like headsets and keyboards like the Apex M800. Switching from the previous engine (SteelSeries Engine 1) was mainly an effort on behalf of Steel Series to make use of new technology and offer its consumers more customization options for their equipment at no extra charge. Some of the major upgrades that the new game engine provides include: The newest version of SSE2 is still in beta stages and has a lot of new features to come. One feature that has been specifically mentioned by SteelSeries is a new program called Prism, which supposedly will allow gamers to have a better understanding of how the LED lights on the player’s headsets affects their gaming experience. In addition, there are plans for another program called Key Master, which is designed to help users set up their keyboards in an even more convenient way. SteelSeries Engine 2 was released on Steam. The game was released on April 24, 2015. Each game has a variety of new customization designs for different colors and light effects on the SteelSeries logo. The games also have 8 new maps designed specifically for the game engine. For example, NiKo's one time cheat code can be found in Train - the Radiant side of Cache, which is renamed to Train with Prism, but will still function as normal. Since the release of SSE2 t he "Animus" skin has been removed. It was replaced by "Assault" skin. For the June 24 update, the game has been updated to version 2.0.0.4. SSE2 no longer supports the older versions of CS:GO. Players are required to have at least an OS X (10.6) or higher processor and OS X (10.7) or higher GPU in order for their video card to work in game, which can help improve performance and stability in-game compared to past versions of CS:GO Also, Valve has changed where mouse sensitivity is displayed on top of CS' gameplay system. Instead of using a percentage scale like previous versions, it now uses centimeters per second (where 1 cm/s equals 0%). While this still works in previous versions of CS:GO, it no longer displays correctly in SSE2 for newer versions of Windows. This means Valve has removed all sensitivity indicators from CS:GO's gameplay system and mouse settings, and will only show the "CS:GO Sensitivity Scale" or "Game Speed Scaling" on Counter-Strike: Global Offensive's settings page. This is because Valve believes the current setting of mouse sensitivity in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is more than sufficient and that using a percentage scale to display mouse sensitivity would make finding adjustments more difficult for players. cfa1e77820
