The wordplay between Roy Kapur's come-back acting prowess & his father Sanjay Kapoor's veteran acting skills is something only patience can appreciate. Sitapur (a leading Hindi daily) gave 3 stars to Aaina and has also called it a different avatar of Sanjay Kapoor's old character. Roy Kapur perfectly fits his dad's shoes and does justice in portraying this role in his own best way with ease. Irrfan Khan too does a brilliant job and every actor in the film has done justice in their respective roles.Aaina also won Best Actor Award in International Film Festival in Marrakech The film received mixed reviews from the critics.
